Gloucester is getting a third Rainbow Street, with a splash of colour brightening up a row of terraced homes.
After the success of Nettleton Road and St Mark Street, residents of Sebert Street in Kingsholm approached property developer and student housing landlord Tash Frootko to bring the bright paints to their neighbourhood.
Already nine houses on the street have been spruced up and painted, with more homes joining the rainbow in the coming weeks.
Resident of Sebert Street Michelle Taner said: “’We were inspired by The Rainbow Street and what Tash did there last summer.
“We recently saw a local painter and decorator painting our neighbours house and wanted to join in, so we asked him to paint ours.
“We painted our front door bright yellow last year as that’s all we could do to bring more colour to our street. We first met Tash as she knocked on our front door to ask us what colour we used and how much she loved it.
“Our children are enjoying seeing the houses changing colour each day. They feel so special and its already become a talking point with their friends. It gives them a real sense of pride in where they live.”

One family have elected to have a bold pink house face as part of their rainbow contribution to the street.
Residents Suzanne Vigh and Dion Smith said: “We chose a bright pink for our house to express our individuality and its Dion’s favourite colour. We are so pleased with how our house looks. Our street is becoming a continuation of the Rainbow Street which we love.
“We have even got our cat Bruce a pink collar to match our house. Its great to now have Tash involved in the project and to have her knowledge of street painting and colour. Our street is starting to look incredible and we cant wait to see what colours are used next”
Tash is over the moon with the positive impact her first project has had on neighbouring streets in Gloucester.
She said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled that Sebert Street is being painted in beautiful colours and that it was all initiated by its wonderful residents.
“It is the perfect example of a ripple effect with this street being in such close proximity to The Rainbow Street. I am over the moon to be involved.
