The Ripple Giving Circle has started a six-month long social study on children and youth mental health services in Clark County to learn more about the current needs. The results of the study will be used to distribute grants to local organizations.
As the Giving Circle’s focus is primarily on mental health services, the funds will be used for activities, programs and services that are newly established or ongoing, stated a news release. Some examples include materials or organizational support in things like therapeutic work, or for organizations involved in art, music, equine, and other sectors.
“The Ripple Giving Circles will provide needed funding to make a difference to various causes in Clark County,” said Jeanne Kojis, Ripple Impact NW board chair. “That is accomplished by a group of people coming together to learn more about their community and to experience how sharing what we have makes a difference to us as a community, as individuals, and for organizations focused on the common good.”
Grant seekers must be a 501(c)3 organization to apply. The deadline is Nov. 17. Funding will be awarded in March of 2022.
