- The rivalry between the Solana and Ethereum network has a very long history. But the two blockchains aim to improve the industry with decentralized applications. Definitely, sharing the same goals brought fierce competition between the two.
- But recently, the co-founder of Solana blockchain hit out on the Ethereum community. Apparently, he alleged some of the information shared by the Ethereum community was fake. This particular information was about operations on the Solana network.
Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of the popular Solana network, hit the Ethereum community with new allegations. For those new to the crypto industry, the battle between Solana and Ethereum can be bitter. However, it seems it is taking an ugly turn after the co-founder of Solana got involved. He accused some of the Ethereum community of lying. In his latest rivalry tweet, he expressed his disappointment. Apparently, one Ethereum enthusiast said Solana has run out of TPS.
Solana’s Co-founder Clashes With Ethereum Community
It was a very good day on crypto Twitter when an Ethereum community member made a post. The Twitter, now X, user made a post with some graphics showing the lack of TPS in the Solana network. However, this infuriated the Solana co-founder, who immediately termed the news false.
But he proceeded with a narrative that created controversy. He accused the Ethereum community of being extremely false with their information. It is obvious the news of Solana having zero TPS is false. But the Solana co-founder didn’t give a hoot as he went on to clear the air. He made it known that the network has hundreds of millions of TPS and computational capacity. While he pointed out the facts, Yakovenko hinted he was ready for the fierce rivalry of Ethereum.
“It’s disappointing that members in and out of the Ethereum community spread many false rumors about Solana Labs. One of them is that Solana Labs has run out of tps. This is comical but one that has required me to address it for some team members who now know that we have hundreds of millions of tps and plenty more of compute units. I love competition, and I love collaboration even more. Let’s stick to facts and see how things play out in a few years,” Anatoly Yakovenko said on Twitter, now X.
Solana vs Ethereum Rivalry
Ever since Solana went live, it became an immediate rival to Ethereum. In fact, it dubbed itself “the Ethereum killer.” They both share the goal of being the ideal platform for decentralized apps (dApps).
Solana, on the one hand, has some of the best qualities regarding low transaction fees. The network is also relatively fast. Features like this places it in the best position to rival Ethereum.
In conclusion, Solana’s co-founder pointed out an error he observed with the Ethereum Community. He said many of them found solace in spreading fake news about Solana. However, his statement helped clear the air. Right now, Solana still has hundreds of millions of TPS.
