New blockchain eclipses Ethereum and Arbitrum in transaction volume

Coinbase’s second-layer scaling solution, Base, has demonstrated higher performance compared to platforms like Arbitrum and Ethereum, especially in terms of daily transaction volume.

According to L2Beat data, Base recorded a 30-day transaction volume of 45.21 million, surpassing Arbitrum One with 38.58 million and Ethereum with 37.93 million. Notably, Arbitrum Nova leads with the largest 30-day transaction volume of 81.31 million.

Base’s Total Locked Value (TVL) currently stands at $3.89 billion, marking a significant increase in transaction volume of almost 20% over the past seven days. This growth contrasts with Arbitrum One, which saw transactions decline by 4.87%, resulting in a TVL of approximately $18.45 billion.

Ethereum’s TVL stands at $40 billion, reflecting a 4.24% decline from its value seven days ago.

In terms of daily transactions per second (TPS), Base reached 35.16 with the remarkable increase of 36.12%, while Arbitum and Ethereum lag behind at 17.80 and 14.38 respectively. Zora also saw a significant jump in TPS, registering over 700% growth with a TPS of 10.95, reflecting Base’s impressive performance.
