Cyber Fighters, a side-scrolling action game with over 8 million players, is preparing for its upcoming web3 launch on the Immutable zkEVM network.
As part of this transition, the game has introduced a Play-to-Airdrop campaign, allowing players to earn points that could lead to future rewards.
The Immutable zkEVM integration is expected to allow current players to experience a seamless transition to the web3 version of the game.
What is Cyber Fighters?
Cyber Fighters is a side-scrolling free-to-play game that merges elements of action, RPG and fighting genres. Set in a dystopian future where the city of Detroit has descended into chaos following World War 3, players can choose from six distinct Hero classes, each with its own unique skills and combat styles. These include the Cyber Officer Swordsman, The Punisher of God Thunder, and The Queen Bee Archer Assassins, among others.
Players begin their journey with a default Hero and can unlock more powerful Hero NFTs by purchasing and opening Box NFTs in the marketplace.
The game features a variety of combat modes and a complex skill system, where players collect resources to unlock and upgrade abilities. Heroes can also be accompanied by Pets that assist in battle, though their attributes remain fixed. Additionally, players can craft and enhance equipment to further boost their Hero’s power.
Cyber Fighters has been a successful web2 game and is now transitioning to web3, aiming to integrate blockchain technology to enhance transparency and stability in the game’s economy. The game is available on iOS and Android devices and operates on a free-to-play model.
How to participate in the play-to-airdrop campaign?
Although the full web3 version of Cyber Fighters has not yet launched, players can begin earning airdrop points by participating in the current version of the game. The airdrop feature can be activated through an in-game web3 button, which will automatically create a digital wallet for the player.
Points can be earned by collecting specific in-game items, completing daily tasks, and referring friends. These points are tracked on a leaderboard, with the top 500 players expected to receive prizes once the campaign concludes. The nature of these rewards has not been disclosed.
Whilst no specific dates have been provided for the official web3 launch or the distribution of airdrop rewards, further details are expected to be released in the future.
