  2. Under Two-Step Verification, click Enable on the right-hand side. This will expand the options. Now, select how you want to set up two-step verification. 2. How to Enable Two-Step Verification on Blockchain.com via Authenticator App

Here’s how to enable two-step verification on Blockchain.com using an authenticator app.

  1. Go to Blockchain.com and log in to your account. Once inside, click on Security in the upper-right corner.
  2. Under Two-Step Verification, go to your right-hand side, and click Enable.

  3. Click Authenticator App. Now it’s time to scan the QR code.
  4. Open the Google authenticator app on your phone. Tap the plus button, then tap Scan a QR Code.
  5. Now, point your phone’s camera at the QR code on your desktop to scan the QR code. Enter the code from the authenticator in the space provided on your desktop and click Verify Code.

3. How to Enable Two-Step Verification on Blockchain.com via Security Key

Here’s how to enable two-step verification on Blockchain.com using the Yubikey security key.

  1. Go to Blockchain.com and log in to your account. Once inside, click on Security in the upper-right corner.
  2. Under Two-Step Verification, go to your right-hand side, and click Enable, then click Yubikey.
  3. Insert the Yubikey into your computer’s USB port and pair your Yubikey.
  4. Enter the code into the space provided and click Submit.

How to Disable 2-Step Verification in Blockchain.com

It is super easy to disable 2-step verification on Blockchain.com should you choose to. Here’s how.

  1. Log in to your Blockchain.com account and click on Security.
  2. Next, click the blue Disable button.
  3. This will bring up a dialog box with a warning asking you if you really want to disable 2-step verification. Click the orange Disable button to confirm. You’ll see a notification near the top of the tab informing you that you have disabled two-step verification.

Here’s how to set up two-step verification on Blockchain.com using your Android phone.

  1. Launch the Blockchain.com app and enter your PIN if you already have one set up.
  2. Next, tap the hamburger menu in the top left corner and tap Settings.
  3. Now, scroll all the way down and tap the 2-step Verification toggle button.
  4. Review the information on the dialog box and tap ENABLE when done. Your registered mobile phone number will be used to send you verification codes when next you log in to your account.

Do note that you can only enable two-step verification via SMS on Blockchain.com if using the mobile app. For other methods (authenticator app and Yubikey security key), you’ll have to log in to Blockchain.com on your desktop.

How to Disable SMS-Based Two-Step Verification on Blockchain.com (Android)

If you want to turn off two-step verification for your Blockchain.com account using the mobile app, here’s what to do.

  1. Launch the Blockchain.com app and enter your 4-digit PIN to continue.
  2. Tap the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of the dashboard and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to 2-step Verification (which is currently turned on) and tap the toggle button to turn it off.
  4. Review the warning information in the dialog box and tap DISABLE when done.

This will turn off two-step verification by SMS for your Blockchain.com account. Unless you’re using other verification forms, turning off two-step verification for your Blockchain.com account is a bad idea because it can leave your account exposed.

Blockchain.com lets you choose between basic and advanced security settings for your account. These security settings can be accessed and managed directly from your dashboard. Log in to your Blockchain.com account and select between Basic and Advanced security to configure as desired.
