Singapore Blockchain Week, One of Asia’s Largest Blockchain Events, Returns from 25 to 29 July 2022

SINGAPORE, June 14, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS) today announced that the 2022 edition of the Singapore Blockchain Week (SGBCW), will be held from 25 to 29 July 2022. Supported by key agencies and associations such as National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), Banking and Financial Services Union (BFSU), SGTech, and e2i, SGBCW is one of the largest government-supported blockchain events organised in Asia.

SGBCW will bring together industry leaders, academics, innovators, government and regulatory bodies, as well as aid collaboration on a regional and international level, while catering to both virtual and physical engagements in multiple locations through a hybrid format.

Themed “Web 3.0 and Beyond”, SGBCW’s anchor event, the Singapore Blockchain Week Summit, will bring together industry experts and pioneers through a conference and exhibition to be held from 26 to 27 July 2022 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. The Singapore Blockchain Week Summit will focus on topics such as the outlook towards blockchain and digital assets, regulation, Web 3.0, Decentralised Finance (DeFi), enterprise blockchain, Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), game finance, and blockchain for good, among others.

Highlights for the summit will include a fireside chat with Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief FinTech Officer, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and a keynote speech from Richard Yuan, CTH founder and CEO of Atlas Technology Management Pte. Ltd (Atlas). Hester Peirce, Commissioner of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), also affectionately known in the blockchain community as “crypto mom”, will also be sharing her insights during SGBCW 2022.

SGBCW will kick off with a Hackathon jointly organised by Morpheus Lab and Huawei. Taking place on 25 July, the Hackathon will showcase finalists’ product demonstrations. Other events taking place during SGBCW include masterclasses and a career fair jointly organised by BAS, e2i, the Banking and Financial Services Sector, NTUC, and the Global Fintech Institute, as well as an exclusive Blockchain for Good Gala Dinner taking place from 26 to 29 July.
